The Adirondack Velo Club’s Adirondack CX cyclocross race is coming!
Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the Johnstown High School, Johnstown, NY.
EASY ACCESS from the NYS Thruway (I-90) – Within 1 hour drive of Utica, Cooperstown, Cobleskill, Albany, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls.
Course: 95% grass course with 5% paved/gravel. Road section start/finish. Obstacles, off camber sections, fast straight-aways, twisty turns, etc. on wide open high school grounds.
Registration: Registration is now open at BikeReg (www.bikereg.com/Net/16905). Day of registration opens at 8:15 and continues until 20 minutes before each race. $10 late fee for day-of registration. Enter a second race for only $10.
Rules: All USA Cycling rules apply. Racers must wear CPSC approved helmet. No aerobars or sleeveless jerseys. Riders must have a USA Cycling racing license – one-day (cross cat. 4 men/women only) available for $10. Mountain bikes allowed with bar ends removed.
Directions: (for GPS – 1 Pearl Street, Johnstown, NY12095). Just 7mi north of Exit 28 (I-90 Thruway).
- From Albany, Utica – From Exit 28 of I-90 follow signs for Route 30A North, L on Rt 67 East (E. State St.), slight L onto E. Main St., 3rd R onto N. Williams St., Bear L onto W. State St., at 2nd light turn L onto Pearl St.
- From Saratoga – Rt 29 West
- From Cobleskill – Rt 30A North
Parking: Use the Pearl Street entrance to the high school (1 Pearl Street) or use Warren Street School (110 Warren St.).
